
Introduction to Indigenous Foundational Learning
Designed for those who work with Indigenous employees, this workshop focuses on Indigenous engagement, recruitment, and retention strategies to improve engagement and inclusiveness in the workplace. Participants will be introduced to Indigenous contributions, world views, and histories so that they can build competencies that promote equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in the workplace. Participants will also learn techniques to better support the learning and development of Indigenous employees and gain a deeper understanding of the impacts of inter-generational trauma on learning and the ability to succeed in the workplace.
This workshop takes a holistic approach to learning and integrates Indigenous teachings such as ceremony, talking circle, and storytelling.

Employers and community workers looking to understand how to better recruit, retain, and support Indigenous employees.

Sessions are offered online, access to a computer and internet is required.

Customized training workshops are also available and can be conducted in person for groups up to 15 people. Price dependent on location and group size.
