Cultural Exchange Training

Culture Exchange Training should be designed to support Employers to better understand the cultural traditions of surrounding Indigenous communities.

Working in partnership with community members, Employers should design a Cultural Exchange Training that is reflective of the employer workplace culture and practices and how it aligns and differs from Indigenous culture and practices. Trainings should address how to bridge cultural differences to support successful workplace experiences.

Utilizing your Indigenous Advisory Circle, identify resources within your community who can develop and conduct Cultural Exchange Training for Indigenous and non-Indigenous employers and/or employees.

Workshops should include:

  • History and Story telling

  • Literacy

  • Language

  • Interactive activities and opportunities for questions and cultural history sharing
